The Chairman, Kwara State Roads Maintenance Agency, KWARMA, Hon. Rufai Bolakale Oloje has assured Kwarans that Gov. Abdulrahman led administration will continue to work in tandem with campaign promises as every deplorable roads in Kwara will be repaired in due course.
He stated this during his tour of ongoing projects of the agency on some roads within Ilorin, the state capital, where he revealed that the road repairs would help to decongest traffic and ease vehicular movements within the metropolis.
Oloje and his assessment team visited Pakata-Ita merin-Alore road. And Ita Kudimah-Koro sayodin-Ode Isowo-Abemi roads, where he assured the people of the government’s readiness to fix the roads in earnest.
He added that rehabilitations/completion of Kano road Adewole Estate, Abata Shuban-Oke Apomu-Abayawo roads respectively will be ensured to fulfill the pact of the government with the people of the state.
Addressing newsmen, the KWARMA boss said the current administration in the state is a people-oriented one that hold in high esteem the social contract he had with citizens.
“Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will not let Kwarans down by fulfilling his promises. His Excellency is a man of his words and would never renege either for fear or favour.
“Our tour of some roads today is not for the fun of it. This government have no time for merry. It is about service delivery to the citizens. The #Isenlo mantra of this administration is not a mere slang; it is our watchword,” he said.
“Let me assure motorists that every deplorable roads in the 16 local government areas of the state will be attended to. This is to ease movements and facilitate business growth,” he added.
The roads rehabilitations when completed would go a long way to drive the economy of the state as government is working round the clock to re-position the state for the betterment of the citizens.
“We have a task to make Kwara roads motorable and this is one of the key infrastructural development as we are out to change the narratives from the old form,” the KWARMA boss said.
